Our story

Built for a job where the rules keep changing.

I've taught high school math in New York City public schools for 23 years. If there's one thing every teacher knows, it's that what's required of us changes constantly: new standards, new formats, new priorities, sometimes from one week to the next. Every change meant rebuilding lessons, practice and tests by hand, on nights and weekends.

So I built Scholar to adapt as fast as the requirements do.

Change the standard, the test format, the pacing or the lesson length, and Scholar rebuilds the plan, the slides, the practice and the exams to match. That leaves the teacher's time for teaching.

I tested every feature in my own Algebra II and Statistics classes first. When something didn't work for my students, it got fixed that night. Then I built Scholar Study so students get free help that follows what their class is actually doing.

Scholar was started in Queens, NYC by Veteran Educators AI: started by a teacher, for teachers. Privacy comes first, and we never see your students' names.

What “adapts” means in Scholar

  • ✨ Adjust

Tell Scholar to make a lesson shorter, easier or harder, preview the before and after, then keep or undo it.

  • Exam styles

Set each course to NY Regents, AP or Plain (teacher-made); questions and the printed test follow it.

  • Regents-style question wording

Full-sentence stems, four choices numbered (1)–(4) and constructed-response parts with credit directions.

  • Pacing that reflows

Lose a day and the rest of your calendar moves onto your remaining teaching days.

  • Low / Medium / Full lesson length

Pick how much of each lesson to teach, with the estimated minutes beside it.
