Delete your account or data
Last updated October 27, 2026
You can delete your Scholar™ account and data yourself, at any time, whether or not your free access has ended. Here is how, and what happens next.
Teachers
- Sign in to Scholar on the web or in the app.
- Open Account (nyclogicai.com/account).
- Under “Account privacy”, choose Delete my account and confirm.
- Your account is scheduled for deletion in 7 days. Until then you can cancel with Undo account deletion on the same page.
After the 7 days, our daily cleanup permanently deletes your account: your classes, lessons, student work and other class records, your narration audio and your sign-in. College student accounts that belong only to your classes are deleted with it, and you are told how many before you confirm. The cleanup can run up to 24 hours after the undo deadline. Want a copy first? Export class data (CSV, JSON or student-work PDFs) from each class before you delete.
To remove a single student instead, open the class, go to “Privacy & class controls” and choose Delete student. That student’s work is deleted straight away. Delete class removes a whole class after the same 7-day undo window.
Students in a teacher’s class (class code)
There is no student account to delete: you joined with a class code and a nickname that stays on your device.
- To clear Scholar from your device, choose Sign out. This removes your saved Scholar data from that browser. Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings does the same.
- To delete your class work, ask your teacher. Your teacher can delete you from the class, which removes your work.
- College students with a class account: open Settings on your class page, choose Delete my account, then enter your email and password. Your login and class work are deleted straight away.
Scholar Study
- Open the Your data page in Scholar Study.
- To wipe this device, choose Delete data on this device. It removes your progress, flashcards, interests, ideas, test prep answers and settings from this browser.
- If you are 18 or over and have an account, choose Delete my account, enter your email and password again, and confirm. Your login, nickname, saved progress, interests, ideas and test prep answers are deleted straight away; anything left over is removed automatically within a day.
Students aged 13 to 17 have no account: their progress lives only on the device, and the device button deletes it. Daily-limit counters, kept as a one-way hash of a random device code, are deleted automatically after a few days.
Can’t sign in?
Email privacy@nyclogicai.com. Signed-in teachers can also reach us in the app: open Scholar Assistant and choose “Something's wrong”. Please write from the email address on the account and say which account you want deleted. We may ask you to confirm that you own it. Please don’t include student names.
